Scimitar Swords

The Scimitar is a beautiful variation on what we think of as the normal sword. It's curved blade adds a particular beauty to it.

It was predominanly a weapon that was sharp on one edge and used for sweeping and slashing attacks. The thick upper end made it very effective for delivering vicious blows.

Among the many variations of scimitar the two most popular are the Persian Scimitar and the Roman Gladiator Sica.

Here is a great example of a Persian Scimitar. This weapon is absolutely beautiful. Massive Stainless Steel Radius Blade!
